What we collect
- Your name, email address and mobile number.
- Your delivery address (not needed if you collect at a launch).
- What you ordered, any inscription request or note, and your preferred leather edition number.
- Payment status and reference from Paystack. We never receive your card details.
Why we use it
To process and deliver your order, to send you your confirmation and tracking number, to contact you about your order, and to keep the financial records the law requires. We will not send you marketing emails unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
Only with the service providers needed to complete your order, each of which may only use it for that purpose:
- Paystack: processes your payment.
- The courier (a South African courier, or an international courier for orders abroad): receives your name, address and phone number to deliver your parcel.
- Vercel (website hosting), Neon (order database) and Resend (order emails).
Some of these providers store information on servers outside South Africa, including in the United States and the European Union. We use them only because they are bound by agreements and laws that give your information a level of protection comparable to POPIA (section 72).
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for five years to meet tax and accounting requirements, and are then deleted.
Your rights
You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it (where we are not required to keep it), or object to how we use it. Email info@antonvanwouw.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Paystack's payment page may use its own cookies for security.
